The Wench 1500 - 1600's |

The ivory colored cotton blouse is gathered at the neck and cuffs. The full skirt has a fitted waist and button closure. The seven panel bodice features a heavy cotton duck interlining to help hold it's shape, and m'lady's. The front and side front panels are boned for added shaping; and laces down the front and at the shoulders for a comfortable fit. For a head covering, we suggest a Muffin Cap (described with the Commoner) or a matching Maid's Cap. Sizes 8 -24 |

peasant is ready to work! His breeches are laced tight to his calves to
keep them out of his way. (We do cheat and use elastic in the waist
band. You can replace it with a draw string.) His rustic cotton shirt is
loose and flowing for comfort. The vest is interlined with heavy cotton
duck for shaping and laces in front. The "Muffin" or

| While poking around the back of a fabric store, I happened on some woven fabrics (content unknown) that begged to be made into handsome shawls for
m'lady! Some lent themselves to being fringed, some did not, but all have been pre-washed and finished. Shawls for adults are two yards in

maid's Cap is a hand worked double buckram base with wired edges to grip
m'lady's head. It is padded and lined with cotton. Fabric cover and trim
