Princess Elizabeth - 1546

150_1540_BrownGown_fin.jpg (350915 bytes) Fitted Bodice with Sleeves and Points

The Bodice is closely fitted to the individual. Several variations are available, depending on the era you wish to represent: front or back opening; lace up or hook and eye closures; tight sleeve, folded back cuff, tied on with "Points", or hanging sleeves; high neck, Partlet, or with or with out Ruff. The cost of your Bodice would depend on your choices, however I've made a Bodice with Tied on Sleeves, without trimming, that cost $275.00

Trimming and Beading are available on a "Time & Materials" basis.

Underskirt with Forepart
The Underskirt goes over the Hoop Petticoat. Most of the skirt is made of muslin while the front panel, or Forepart, is made of Damask to compliment the Overskirt. The Forepart, in general, is heavily beaded and decorated. (Decorating and/or beading is available on a "time & materials" basis.)

Underskirt with Forepart: Untrimmed: $70.00

Over Skirt
The Over Skirt matches the Bodice and Sleeves. It features "cartridge pleats" (6 yards of fabric!) hand stitched to the waist band, which closes with hook and eyes at the front. The skirt can either be closed down the front or flare out at the hem to reveal the Forepart. The front edge of the open skirt was trimmed with a different fabric of about 4" wide, called a "Guard".

Over Skirt with Guard: $255.00

Elizabethan Man

The burgundy Jacquard Doublet closes down the front with hook & eyes. The sleeves are cuffed in white cotton and lace. The Jerkin and Cloak are made of 100% cotton velvet, and trimmed with gold embroidered ribbon & gold gimp. The pansied Slops are of burgundy Jacquard with  panes of black cotton velvet & trimmed to match the Jerkin.

Doublet - $350.00

Jerkin - $325.00

Pansied Slops - $495.00

 Cape - $310.00

1590's Ladies Surcoat

Worn both on Progress and in the Bed Chamber, this Surcoat was quite versatile! Our Surcoat features hook & eye closure down the front, hanging sleeves with sleeve caps, and a pleated back. The sleeves are fully lined. Custom trim & beading is available on a "time & materials" basis.

Shown in a lavendar jaquard, edged with gold trimmed ribbon and glass pearls.

Surcoat - Untrimmed: $220.00

Untab'd Corset

150_Corset_fin.jpg (442617 bytes) A corset is a necessity to achieve the tubular shape of the 16th century gowns. The corset is individually constructed to your measurements for a perfect fit. Made of canvas and covered in cotton or damask, the corset is fully boned with steel boning and the traditional wooden busk.

Untab'd Corset: $155.00
Bum Roll

The Bum Roll was worn under the skirts of the Tudor Era gown to enhance a woman's figure and to re-distribute the weight of the fabric around the hips. The Bum Roll is made of 100% cotton denim, gros grain ribbon ties, and stuffed with (gasp!) acrylic batting. Built to size.

Bum Roll: $40.00

Ostrich Feather Fan

150_Fan_fin.jpg (277217 bytes) Popular during the 1500's, Lords and Ladies alike would keep themselves cool with an Ostrich plume fan. Our fan has oak for it's turned spindle handle and fan head. A small hole is drilled through the end of the handle for a chain or cord. A minimum of 24 plumes are used for fullness. A coordinating semiprecious stone in a bezel setting graces the front of the fan head with a 2" mirror on the back for preening.  Please call for color availability.

Ostrich Plume Fan  $75.00
